March is a special month for me at Airspace Link as we take time to celebrate Women’s History Month. This month is intended to celebrate the contributions women have made and recognize the specific achievements of women over the course of American History; and being in an industry dominated by men – we have a lot to celebrate in the progress we’ve made and the contributions our impressive female colleagues have given to our company and our industry.

The National Women’s History Alliance designates a yearly theme for Women's History Month. The 2022 theme is "Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope." This theme is "both a tribute to the ceaseless work of caregivers and frontline workers during this ongoing pandemic and also a recognition of the thousands of ways that women of all cultures have provided both healing and hope throughout history."

Being a female co-founder, our company has always been focused on not only diversity of gender but also diversity of thought, background, and experience. We’ve seen the contributions and positive impact to our business as we continue to grow and diversify our talent base. It also makes our lives at work more fun, learning from each others different backgrounds, experiences and hobbies outside of work.

I want to recognize some of the many significant achievements that our female colleagues have contributed, even more impressively in the past few years as we’ve faced the additional challenges of the ongoing pandemic.

• In 2021, Airspace Link's VP of Business Development, Lisa Peterson, and Director of Business Development, Alice Griffith, along with team member Tyler Dicks, supported the First U.S. Multimodal Autonomous Systems Delivery of Organs in Ohio

• In January 2022, the Airspace Link team was honored with the Diversity Exemplar Award from Women & Drones, honoring Airspace Link for our best-in-class company culture where women can thrive.

• In a recent trip to North Dakota, Director of Business Development, Alice Griffith, showcased her tireless dedication as she faced down trains, planes, and automobiles – resulting in borrowing a personal Jeep from a local couple – to make customer and partner commitments in time.

I wish I could highlight each and every one of the team's amazing accomplishments, as the list is endless, but I hope those three examples show the tip of the iceberg of the breadth of impact and dedication from our team.

It’s so important to share these stories and celebrate these achievements because so often it can be a catalyst to inspire others to do the same. As we continue to increase female representation in the industry, we have the opportunity to be the example and inspire others to understand the possibilities and push the limits.

I’m so thankful for the entire team at Airspace Link and that we continue to inspire a culture where we lift women up and recognize their tireless efforts.
