The latest release of AirHub® Portal brings a powerful upgrade to its drone operations management system, designed to streamline and enhance workflows for both individual operators and organizations. This major update brings a host of new and improved features, enhancing the way drone operators plan, manage, and execute their flights.

Whether you’re a hobbyist exploring your community with AirHub® Portal’s free personal account or a team conducting and managing complex operations with an organization account, this release is packed with features tailored to support all types of operations.

Easier, Faster LAANC Approvals

One of the most significant advancements in this release is a refined Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) workflow. This improvement simplifies the process, making it easier for users to receive airspace authorizations for their operations.

By selecting “Get LAANC” under Compliance after creating an operation and confirming pilot-in-command details, users can submit their requests with ease, significantly reducing approval times.

What’s New for Free Personal Accounts

For users with free personal accounts, this update provides several impactful enhancements to simplify the flight planning experience:

  • Clean and Simple Interface: The operation creation interface now has a fresh look. Expect a cleaner, more intuitive design that simplifies the process of planning drone flights.
  • New "Description" Field: Users can now add more detailed information about their operation with a new "description" field, helping capture important details that reflect specific flight plans, notes, and other relevant information.
  • Enhanced PDF Exports: Any LAANC authorizations received for an operation will now be automatically included in the operation PDF exports, offering a more comprehensive record of flights.

Powerful Upgrades for Paid Organization Accounts

For organization accounts, this new release is packed with powerful new capabilities:

  • Linked Aircraft and Pilots: Organizations can now select the aircraft and the pilot-in-command directly from their organization’s user list when creating an operation. These selections will be automatically linked to any flight logs generated during the operation, ensuring seamless integration of operational data.
  • Variable-Height LAANC Authorizations: This game-changing feature allows organizations to request LAANC authorizations with variable maximum heights, which adjust automatically based on the UAS Facility Map LAANC grid ceilings in their operation area. This flexibility opens the door for more complex operations, allowing the freedom to safely explore higher altitude zones when permitted.

A New Era for Drone Operations

With streamlined workflows, a cleaner interface, and powerful advancements for organizations, this AirHub® Portal update is designed to make drone operations easier for all account levels. Get ready for simplified planning, faster authorizations, and a new level of operational efficiency.
